Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of preparing insoles and to a system for preparing insoles. The invention uses a machine for imaging the foot inserted in the footwear, designs an insole and produces the insole for instance with a three dimensional printer.
Claims17
A method of preparing an insole for a foot inserted in footwear by:
- inserting the foot in the footwear;
- positioning the foot, inserted in the footwear, in an imaging machine;
- scanning the foot inserted in the footwear with the imaging machine;
- determining a space between the foot and an inner sole of the footwear;
- and
- designing an insole that fills at least part of the space between the foot and the inner sole of the footwear.
A System comprising an imaging machine, a computer and a printer machine which are connected in an electronic network, wherein the imaging machine is adapted for producing a three dimensional image of a foot in a footwear, the computer is adapted for determining from the image a three dimensional space between the foot and an inner sole of the footwear, and the printer is a three dimensional printer adapted for producing an insole for the space between the foot and the inner sole of the footwear.
