Abstract
Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to methods of treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using acamprosate formulations and/or acamprosate formulations in combination with at least one other medication, such as neuroleptic (antipsychotic) and/or antidepressant drugs.
Claims9
In a method of treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by administering to a subject in need thereof acamprosate calcium, or other pharmaceutically acceptable salt of acamprosate, the improvement that comprises administering a tablet that comprises:
- 800 mg acamprosate calcium, or other pharmaceutically acceptable salt of acamprosate,
- distributed within a polymer matrix that comprises or consists of 60 mg carbomer homopolymer type B.
