## Abstract

A support for the heating elements of radiant coverings and floors is disclosed. One example of a support disclosed herein includes bosses having a concave portion. In some examples, defined on the surface of the concave portion is at least one adhering low relief, for example four adhering low reliefs may be provided per concave portion.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A floor underlayment, comprising:
a base; and
a plurality of bosses extending from the base, the plurality of bosses arranged to have a plurality of interspaces provided therebetween that receive pipes or electrical cables for heating, wherein at least one of the plurality of bosses comprises a top surface substantially parallel to the base, a concave surface facing away from the base and surrounded by the top surface, and at least one adhering low relief that creates an extraction-preventing undercut beneath the concave surface;
wherein the at least one of the plurality of bosses further comprises a raised ring extending from the top surface away from the base, the raised ring surrounded by a first portion of the top surface and surrounding a second portion of the top surface.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the at least one adhering low relief comprises a cylindrical shape.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the at least one adhering low relief comprises a semicylindrical shape in cross-section.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the concave portion comprises a frustoconical shape.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the at least one of the plurality of bosses comprises at least four adhering low reliefs.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the plurality of interspaces comprise channels that convey steam toward collection chambers.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The floor underlayment of claim 6, wherein the collection chambers are formed between the plurality of bosses and the base.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, further comprising:
a thermal insulation membrane positioned on a first surface of the base that opposes a second surface of the base on which the plurality of bosses are provided.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The floor underlayment of claim 8, wherein the thermal insulation membrane comprises at least one of fabric, cork, and a sheet of metallic material.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The floor underlayment of claim 1, wherein the base and the plurality of bosses are formed from a single piece of material.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The floor underlayment of claim 10, wherein the single piece of material comprises plastic.

### Claim 12

A support for heating elements of floors and of radiation claddings, the support comprising:
a base comprising a first surface and an opposing second surface;
a thermal insulation element positioned adjacent to the first surface of the base; and
a plurality of bosses extending from the second surface of the base, the plurality of bosses arranged to have a plurality of interspaces provided therebetween that receive pipes or electrical cables for heating, wherein at least one of the plurality of bosses comprises a top surface substantially parallel to the base, a concave surface facing away from the base and surrounded by the top surface, and at least one adhering low relief that creates an extraction-preventing undercut beneath the concave surface;
wherein the at least one of the plurality of bosses further comprises a raised ring extending from the top surface away from the base, the raised ring surrounded by a first portion of the top surface and surrounding a second portion of the top surface.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the thermal insulation element comprises at least one of fabric, cork, and a sheet of a metallic material.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the at least one adhering low relief comprises a cylindrical shape.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the at least one adhering low relief comprises a semicylindrical shape in cross-section.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the concave portion comprises a frustoconical shape.

### Claim 17 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the at least one of the plurality of bosses comprises at least four adhering low reliefs.

### Claim 18 (depends on 12)

The support of claim 12, wherein the plurality of interspaces comprise channels that convey steam toward collection chambers.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The support of claim 18, wherein the collection chambers are formed between the plurality of bosses and the base.

### Claim 20

A support designed for use in a radiant heating system of a floor, the support comprising:
a base comprising a first surface and an opposing second surface;
a thermal insulation element positioned adjacent to the first surface of the base and comprising at least one of fabric, cork, and a sheet of a metallic material; and
a plurality of bosses extending from the second surface of the base, the plurality of bosses arranged to have a plurality of interspaces provided therebetween, wherein at least one of the plurality of bosses comprises a top surface substantially parallel to the base, a concave surface facing away from the base and surrounded by the top surface, and at least one adhering low relief that creates an extraction-preventing undercut beneath the concave surface;
wherein the at least one of the plurality of bosses further comprises a raised ring extending from the top surface away from the base, the raised ring surrounded by a first portion of the top surface and surrounding a second portion of the top surface.
