## Abstract

A balancing weight for balancing a wheel of a vehicle has a body of non-ferromagnetic material providing a major portion of the balancing weight's mass and a ferromagnetic inlay for holding the balancing weight by magnetic force. The ferromagnetic inlay provides a minor portion of the balancing weight's mass. A weight applicator has a magnet for interacting with the ferromagnetic inlay of the balancing weight and holding the balancing weight.

## Claims

### Claim 1

Balancing weight comprising;
a body with a cuboid shape having rounded corners and edges, the body comprising non-ferromagnetic material;
a ferromagnetic inlay configured to couple the balancing weight to a handling device by magnetic force; and
an adhesive tape attached to the body;
wherein the ferromagnetic inlay extends through one surface of the body and provides a contact surface at one side of the balancing weight body.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

Balancing weight according to claim 1, wherein the ferromagnetic inlay comprises a cylindrical-shaped rod.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

Balancing weight according to claim 1, wherein the ferromagnetic inlay provides two contact surfaces at opposing sides of the balancing weight body.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

Balancing weight according to claim 1, wherein the body comprises a majority of a mass of the balancing weight, and the ferromagnetic inlay comprises a minority of the mass of the balancing weight.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

Balancing weight according to claim 1, wherein the inlay is covered by a cover material.
