Abstract
A thermal transfer recording sheet includes a base material and, on the base material, a yellow-dye layer containing a yellow dye, a magenta-dye layer containing a magenta dye, and a cyan-dye layer containing a cyan dye. The yellow dye and the cyan dye contain compounds having specific structures.

A coloring compound having a structure represented by Formula (1):
- wherein R1 represents an alkyl group,
- R2 represents an alkyl group,
- R1 and R2 are the same alkyl groups,
- R3 represents an alkyl group, an unsubstituted aryl group, an aryl group having a substituent, or an amino group,
- R4 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group, and
- X represents a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group.

A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base material and a coloring-material layer on the base material, wherein
- the coloring-material layer includes a yellow-dye layer containing a yellow dye, a magenta-dye layer containing a magenta dye, and a cyan-dye layer containing a cyan dye,
- the yellow dye contains at least one compound selected from compounds having a structure represented by Formula (1) or a structure represented by Formula (2), and
- the cyan dye contains at least one compound selected from compounds having a structure represented by Formula (3) or a structure represented by Formula (4):
- wherein R1 represents an alkyl group,
- R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group,
- R3 represents an alkyl group, an unsubstituted aryl group, an aryl group having a substituent, or an amino group,
- R4 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group, and
- X represents a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group,
- wherein R5 represents an alkyl group,
- R6 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group,
- R7 and R8 each independently represent an alkyl group, and
- Y represents a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group,
- wherein R9 and R19 each independently represent an alkyl group, an unsubstituted aryl group. or an aryl group having a substituent, and
- wherein R11 to R15 each independently represent an alkyl group, an unsubstituted aryl group, or an aryl group having a substituent.
