## Abstract

An integrally formed rigid razor blade has, in cross-section transverse to a longitudinal axis, a cutting edge portion, a base portion, and a bent portion. The cutting edge portion extends along a cutting edge portion axis and has a cutting edge at one end. The base portion extends along a base portion axis and has a rear edge at one end. The bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The rear edge of the base portion is serrated along the longitudinal axis. The serrations have a height of between 0.13 millimeters and 0.32 millimeters.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An integrally formed rigid razor blade having, in cross-section transverse to a longitudinal axis of the razor blade:
a cutting edge portion extending along a cutting edge portion axis, and having a cutting edge at one end, the cutting edge portion is defined by convergent faces which taper towards the cutting edge at an angle of between 10 degrees and 30 degrees;
a base portion extending along a base portion axis, and having a serrated rear edge at one end;
a bent portion intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion; and
wherein
the razor blade being formed from a martensitic stainless steel consisting essentially of the following components, in weight:
between 0.50% and 0.75% of carbon,
between 12.7% and 13.7% Chromium,
between 0.45% and 0.75% Manganese,
between 0.20% and 0.50% silicon,
balanced iron, and
traces of Molybdenum.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The blade according to claim 1, further comprising:
an angle of between 108 degrees and 112 degrees formed between the cutting edge portion axis and the base portion axis.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The blade according to claim 1, wherein the base portion further comprises:
an inner face and an opposed outer face, the inner face and the opposed outer face of the base portion defining a thickness of between 0.095 millimeters and 0.105 millimeters.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

A shaver comprising:
a razor cartridge;
the rigid razor blade of claim 1 connected to the razor cartridge such that the rigid razor blade is movable within the razor cartridge.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The blade according to claim 1, wherein the serrations of the serrated rear edge having a height of between 0.13 and 0.32 millimeters.

### Claim 6

An integrally formed rigid razor blade having, in cross-section transverse to a longitudinal axis of the razor blade:
a cutting edge portion extending along a cutting edge portion axis, and having a cutting edge at one end; the cutting edge portion is defined by convergent faces which taper towards the cutting edge at an angle of between 10 degrees and 30 degrees;
a base portion extending along a base portion axis, and having a rear edge at one end;
a bent portion intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion; and
wherein the rigid razor blade is formed from a martensitic stainless steel consisting essentially of the following components, in weight:
between 0.50% and 0.75% of carbon,
between 12.7% and 13.7% Chromium,
between 0.45% and 0.75% Manganese,
between 0.20% and 0.50% silicon,
balanced iron, and
traces of Molybdenum.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The blade according to claim 6, wherein the rear edge of the base portion is serrated along the longitudinal axis, the serrations of the serrated rear edge having a height of between 0.13 and 0.32 millimeters.

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The blade according to claim 6, further comprising:
an angle of between 108 degrees and 112 degrees formed between the cutting edge portion axis and the base portion axis.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The blade according to claim 6, wherein the base portion further comprises:
an inner face and an opposed outer face, the inner face and the opposed outer face of the base portion defining a thickness of between 0.095 millimeters and 0.105 millimeters.

### Claim 10 (depends on 6)

A shaver comprising:
a razor cartridge;
the rigid razor blade of claim 6 connected to the razor cartridge such that the rigid razor blade is movable within the razor cartridge.
