## Abstract

A first device can receive an attach request that includes information associated with a user device. The user device can provide the attach request to request access to a network. The first device can provide, to a second device and using the information associated with the user device, a request for information associated with a group identifier that is associated with the user device. The first device can receive, from the second device, the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device based on providing the request for information associated with the group identifier. The first device can determine a network slice identifier that is associated with the user device based on the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device. The first device can permit the user device to access a network slice, of the network, that is associated with the network slice identifier based on determining the network slice identifier.

determining, by the first device, a network slice identifier that is associated with the user device based on the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device,
where there is a many-to-one mapping between a plurality of group identifiers and the network slice identifier, and
where the plurality of group identifiers includes the group identifier; and
providing, by the first device and to a base station, an instruction that causes the base station to allocate resources associated with a network slice, of the network, that is associated with the network slice identifier.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
permitting the user device to access the network slice based on providing the instruction.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, where the instruction, that causes the base station to allocate the resources associated with the network slice, causes the base station to allocate the resources associated with the network slice to the user device.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1,
where the group identifier is associated with a plurality of user devices,
where the plurality of user devices include the user device, and
where the plurality of user devices are associated with a plurality of particular attributes.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
providing, to a third device and using the information associated with the group identifier, another request for information associated with the network slice identifier,
where the network slice identifier is determined further based on providing the other request for the information associated with the group identifier.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
permitting, without requiring a home subscriber server to be modified for the user device, the user device to access another network slice that is different from the network slice.

### Claim 7

A first device, comprising:
one or more memories; and
one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
provide, to a second device and using information associated with a user device, a request for information associated with a group identifier that is associated with the user device;
receive, from the second device, the information associated with the group identifier based on providing the request for information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device;
determine a network slice identifier that is associated with the user device based on the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device,
where there is a many-to-one mapping between a plurality of group identifiers and the network slice identifier, and
where the plurality of group identifiers includes the group identifier; and
provide, to a base station, an instruction that causes the base station to allocate resources associated with a network slice, of a network, that is associated with the network slice identifier.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The first device of claim 7, where the one or more processors are further configured to:
permit the user device to access the network slice based on providing the instruction.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The first device of claim 7, where the instruction, that causes the base station to allocate the resources associated with the network slice, causes the base station to allocate the resources to the user device.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The first device of claim 7, where the one or more processors are further configured to:
provide, to a third device and using the information associated with the group identifier, another request for information associated with the network slice identifier,
where the network slice identifier is determined further based on providing the other request for the information associated with the group identifier.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The first device of claim 7, where the one or more processors are further configured to:
permit, without requiring a home subscriber server to be modified for the user device, the user device to access another network slice that is different from a network slice associated with the network slice identifier.

### Claim 12

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:
one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a first device, cause the one or more processors to:
provide, to a second device and using information associated with a user device, a request for information associated with a group identifier;
receive, from the second device, the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device based on providing the request for information associated with the group identifier;
determine a network slice identifier that is associated with the user device based on the information associated with the group identifier that is associated with the user device;
provide, to a base station, an instruction that causes the base station to allocate resources associated with a network slice, of the network, that is associated with the network slice identifier; and
permit the user device to access another network slice that is different from a network slice associated with the network slice identifier.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 12, where the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:
