## Abstract

Correction of errors within over-the-air signaling is contemplated. The error correction may include correcting over-the-air signaling used to facilitate transmitting content, broadcast television, etc. according to error correction data transmitted separately from the over-the-air signaling. A receiver may be configured to process the over-the-air signaling according to the error correction data so as to facilitate the contemplated error correction.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions executable with a processor of a server to facilitate correcting reception errors within signals being transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver, the instructions being sufficient to facilitate:
determining the reception errors to correspond with the receiver being unable to properly display the signals;
transmitting error correction data to the receiver independently of the transmitter to facilitate correcting the reception errors;
determining the receiver to be tuned to a first wireless channel of a plurality of wireless channels being broadcasted to the receiver;
tuning the server to the first wireless channel; and
transmitting the error correction data from the server to the receiver via the first wireless channel.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate:
tuning the server to the first wireless channel throughout a period of time coinciding with the receiver being tuned to the first wireless channel; and
throughout the period of time, transmitting the error correction data from the server to the receiver via the first wireless channel, thereby transmitting the error correction data form the server to the receiver without requesting retransmission of the error correction data from the transmitter.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate:
continuously recovering the error correction data from the signals or a copy of the signals while the receiver is receiving the signals from the transmitter, the recovered error correction data omitting at least a portion of a content or a data file being transmitted with the signals.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate:
determining the transmitter to be wirelessly broadcasting the signals to the receiver; and
transmitting the error correction data for wireless receipt at the receiver.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate transmitting the error correction data to the receiver at a frequency differing from a frequency used by the transmitter of the signals.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate transmitting the error correction data to the receiver prior to occurrence of the reception errors.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 further comprising the instructions being sufficient to facilitate:
determining the receiver to be receiving the signals wirelessly broadcasted from the transmitter; and
transmitting the error correction data for wired receipt at the receiver.

### Claim 8

A receiver configured to facilitate transmission of wireless signals comprising:
a first interface configured to continuously receive the wireless signals;
a second interface configured to continuously receive error correction data transmitted separately from the wireless signals;
a controller executing instructions stored within a non-transitory computer-readable medium to facilitate correcting errors in the wireless signals according to the error correction data; and
a buffer sufficient to buffer the error correction data received through the second interface when the error correction data is received at the second interface prior to a portion of the wireless signal correctable therewith being received at the first interface, and wherein the instructions are sufficient to facilitate retrieving the error correction data from the buffer when correcting the errors associated therewith.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The receiver of claim 8 wherein:
the second interface is configured to continuously receive error correction data from a server operating independently of a transmitter transmitting the wireless signals to the first interface; and
the server generates the error correction data such that the error correction data omits at least some of a content or a data file being transmitted with the wireless signals.

### Claim 10

A receiver configured to facilitate transmission of wireless signals comprising:
a first interface configured to continuously receive the wireless signals;
a second interface configured to continuously receive error correction data transmitted separately from the wireless signals;
a controller executing instructions stored within a non-transitory computer-readable medium to facilitate correcting errors in the wireless signals according to the error correction data;
a third interface for facilitating display of the content to a viewer; and
a buffer sufficient to buffer the wireless signals received through the first interface when received prior to the error correction data associated therewith being received at the second interface, and wherein the instructions are sufficient to facilitate buffering the wireless signals within the buffer for a period of time sufficient to delay display of the content at least until the error correction data associated therewith is received at the second interface.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The receiver of claim 10 wherein:
the second interface is configured to continuously receive error correction data from a server operating independently of a transmitter transmitting the wireless signals to the first interface; and
the server generates the error correction data such that the error correction data omits at least some of a content or a data file being transmitted with the wireless signals.
