## Abstract

Disclosed are systems and methods for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements. An example method comprises detecting, by a hardware processor, an activity state of the application during an execution of the application on a user device, determining the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism, activating the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements, and receiving the user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements, the method comprising:
detecting, by a hardware processor, an activity state of the application during an execution of the application on a user device;
determining, by the hardware processor, the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism;
activating, by the hardware processor, the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements; and
receiving, by the hardware processor, user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the activity state includes an activation of a user interface element of the application for receiving the user input in accordance with the data entry mechanism.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the activity state of the application indicates whether or not the application is visible or invisible to the user.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by monitoring events of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by polling an activity manager of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the data entry mechanism specifies a set of software and hardware modules of the user device, and for each software or hardware in the set, properties of the respective software or hardware for enabling one or more of: data entry, data processing, data transmission, and data display.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the security requirements include one or more of static security requirements and dynamic security requirements, the static security requirements being specified during a creation of the application and the dynamic security requirements being specified during the execution of the application.

### Claim 8

A system for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements, the system comprising:
a user device, which is in a particular activity state during an execution of an application; and
a hardware processor configured to:
detect the activity state of the application;
determine the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism;
activate the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements; and
receive user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The system of claim 8, wherein the activity state includes an activation of a user interface element of the application for receiving the user input in accordance with the data entry mechanism.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The system of claim 8, wherein the activity state of the application indicates whether or not the application is visible or invisible to the user.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by monitoring events of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by polling an activity manager of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The system of claim 8, wherein the data entry mechanism specifies a set of software and hardware modules of the user device, and for each software or hardware in the set, properties of the respective software or hardware for enabling one or more of: data entry, data processing, data transmission, and data display.

### Claim 14 (depends on 8)

The system of claim 8, wherein the security requirements include one or more of static security requirements and dynamic security requirements, the static security requirements being specified during a creation of the application and the dynamic security requirements being specified during the execution of the application.

### Claim 15

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions thereon, that when executed perform a method for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements, the method comprising:
detecting, by a hardware processor, an activity state of the application during an execution of the application on a user device;
determining, by the hardware processor, the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism;
activating, by the hardware processor, the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements; and
receiving, by the hardware processor, user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein the activity state includes an activation of a user interface element of the application for receiving the user input in accordance with the data entry mechanism.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein the activity state of the application indicates whether or not the application is visible or invisible to the user.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 17, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by monitoring events of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 17, wherein the activity state of the application is determined by polling an activity manager of an operating system of the user device.

### Claim 20 (depends on 15)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein the data entry mechanism specifies a set of software and hardware modules of the user device, and for each software or hardware in the set, properties of the respective software or hardware for enabling one or more of: data entry, data processing, data transmission, and data display.
