## Abstract

The invention relates to a speaking valve for laryngectomized or tracheotomized persons, comprising a cover part, a housing part, and a filter arranged in the housing part. The cover part comprises a closure part which is arranged on an inner face of the cover part and which faces the filter. The cover part consists of an elastic material, and the closure part closes the speaking valve distally to the filter by deforming at least one region of the cover part. The closure part has a circular shape and has a central part surface which rises starting from a lower end surface of an outer edge to a centrally arranged securing region.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A speaking valve for laryngectomized or tracheostomized patients, the speaking valve comprising: a cover part, a housing part, and a filter disposed in the housing part, wherein the cover part includes a closure part disposed on an inner surface thereof, facing toward the filter, wherein the cover part also includes an elastic material, wherein the closure part closes the speaking valve at an end distal to the filter by deformation of at least one region of the cover part, wherein the closure part has a circular design with a lowermost outer edge, an ascending middle part continuously rising from the lower most outer edge portion to a highest most inner attachment projection extending from the cover part and arranged at a central axis of the housing part.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the lowermost outer edge portion of the closure part further comprises an upwardly angled lip element.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the outer edge has an outer wall, which is disposed parallel to an inner contour of the housing part.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein an upper most inner edge of the closure part comprises a cavity, in which the attachment projection of the cover part can engage.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The speaking valve according to claim 2, wherein the housing part comprises a distal valve seat, wherein the closure part interacts with the valve seat when the speaking valve is actuated.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The speaking valve according to claim 5, wherein the lowermost outer edge of the closure part interacts at least in part with the valve seat.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The speaking valve according to claim 5, wherein the angled lip element interacts with the valve seat.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the housing part comprises at least one inflow opening.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The speaking valve according to claim 8, wherein the at least one inflow opening has a height in the direction of the central axis of the valve, which is basically equal to or less than the height of the outer edge of the closure part.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the cover part is releasably disposed on the housing part.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the cover part is disposed by means of a latching connection on the housing part.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the cover part has at least one latching element on its inner surface, which forms at least one at least partially circumferential groove.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein at least one elastic region of the cover part functions as a reset element.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the closure part is made of a material that is more rigid than the cover part.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the cover part extends at least in part over the outside of the housing part.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the cover part extends over the housing part laterally and vertically.

### Claim 17 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the filter is disposed in the housing part with a interference fit or transition fit.

### Claim 18 (depends on 1)

The speaking valve according to claim 1, wherein the filter is partially compressed by the actuation of the speaking valve.
