Machine for preparing beverages comprising an opening disposition and process for preparing a beverage with anticipated opening

A beverage preparation machine (1) adapted for preparing beverages from single doses of at least one edible substance provided in a strip of linked single dose packages (2), each of said packages (2) comprising a support (21) carrying a plurality of single dose portions (22), each single dose portion comprising at least one first and one second package walls (23, 24) sealed so as to be substantially air tight, whereby said machine (1) comprises:

• at least one extraction device (3) adapted so that said at least one extraction device (3) can collect one said single dose package (2) from said strip inside thereof,
• an opening device (5) disposed upstream of said extraction device (3) along the supply direction of said strip, and adapted so as to provide a plurality of passageways (25) in at least one of said first and second package walls (23, 24) of said single dose portions (22),
• wherein said opening device (5) comprises at least one opening part (51, 52) that presents a plurality of opening protrusions (53) disposed along a respective perimeter surface and adapted so as to provide said plurality of passageways (25),
• wherein said opening part (51, 52) is provided so that it can be actuated in rotation around a substantially horizontal or vertical axis and disposed so that it can produce said passageways (25), and
• wherein said machine (1) further presents at least one actuation device (6) disposed upstream of said extraction device (3) and adapted so that said at least one actuation device (6) can move, by means of traction, said support (21) of single doses presenting a plurality of said single dose portions (22) and thereby successively supply said single dose portions (22) to said extraction device (3)
• whereby said actuation device (6) is disposed upstream of said opening device (5) with relation to said extraction device (3).

A beverage preparation machine (1) adapted for preparing beverages from single doses of at least one edible substance provided in a strip of linked single dose packages (2), each of said packages (2) comprising a support (21) carrying a plurality of single dose portions (22), each single dose portion comprising at least one first and one second package walls (23, 24) sealed so as to be substantially air tight, whereby said machine (1) comprises:

• at least one extraction device (3) adapted so that said at least one extraction device (3) can collect one said single dose package (2) from said strip inside thereof,
• an opening device (5) disposed upstream of said extraction device (3) along the supply direction of said strip, and adapted so as to provide a plurality of passageways (25) in at least one of said first and second package walls (23, 24) of said single dose portions (22),
• wherein said opening device (5) comprises at least one opening part (51, 52) that presents a plurality of opening protrusions (53) adapted so as to provide said plurality of passageways (25),
• wherein said at least one opening part (51, 52) is provided so that it can be actuated in rotation around a substantially horizontal or vertical axis and disposed so that it can produce said passageways (25), and
• wherein said opening device (5) also acts as an actuation device (6) operative to move, by means of traction, said support (21) of single doses presenting a plurality of said single dose portions (22) and thereby successively supply said single dose portions (22) to said extraction device (3),
• wherein at least one opening part (51, 52) also serves as a first actuation part (61) provided in the general form of a circular drum so that said first actuation part (61) is actuated in rotation around a substantially horizontal axis and so that said first actuation part comprises a plurality of said opening protrusions (53) provided on a perimeter surface.
