Abstract
An improved computing architecture for managed-account transactions is presented. In accordance with embodiments, a computing system may receive data indicating modifications to various investment allocations prescribed by different investment managers and may update corresponding stored investment strategies previously generated by the computing system in accordance with the modifications. The computing system may identify a stored account object associated with a client having funds allocated amongst the updated investment strategies and may modify objects stored in sleeve objects of the account object that represent units of assets prescribed by the investment managers in accordance with the modifications to the allocations.
Claims21
A method comprising, responsive to receiving, via a communication interface of a centralized computing system comprising at least one processor and a memory, data indicating a first modification to a first allocation of investments generated by a first computing device and a second modification to a second allocation of investments generated by a second computing device, wherein the centralized computing system, the first computing device, and the second computing device are distinct:
- instantiating a first sleeve object and a second sleeve object for the first and second allocation of investments at a memory device of the centralized computing system;
- updating, by the at least one processor and based on the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device, a first investment strategy stored in the memory of the centralized computing system;
- updating, by the at least one processor and based on the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device, a second investment strategy stored in the memory of the centralized computing system;
- identifying, by the at least one processor, an account object stored in the memory, associated with a client having funds allocated amongst the first investment strategy and the second investment strategy, and comprising the first sleeve obj ect for the first investment strategy and the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy;
- modifying, by the at least one processor, a first plurality of component objects in the first sleeve object for the first investment strategy representing a first set of asset units in accordance with the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device;
- modifying, by the at least one processor, a second plurality of component objects in the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy representing a second set of asset units in accordance with the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device;
- and
- segregating asset units based on corresponding investment strategies via the first and second object sleeves.
A computer system comprising:
- a centralized computing device, further comprising:
- a communication interface;
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory device;
- a first computing device;
- a second computing device;
- the memory device comprising instructions that when executed by the at least one processor cause the computer system to, responsive to receiving, via the communication interface, data indicating a first modification to a first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device and a second modification to a second allocation of investments generated by a first computing:
- instantiating a first sleeve object and a second sleeve object for first and second investments at the memory device of the centralized computing device;
- update, based on the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device, a first investment strategy stored in the memory device;
- update, based on the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device, a second investment strategy stored in the memory device;
- identify, an account object stored in the memory device, associated with a client having funds allocated amongst the first investment strategy and the second investment strategy, and comprising the first sleeve object for the first investment strategy and the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy;
- modify a first plurality of component objects in the first sleeve object for the first investment strategy representing a second set of asset units in accordance with the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing devices;
- modify a second plurality of component objects in the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy representing a second set of asset units in accordance with the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device;
- and
- segregate asset units based on corresponding investment strategies via the first and second object sleeves.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising instructions that when executed by at least one processor of a centralized computing system comprising a communication interface and a memory device cause the centralized computing system to, responsive to receiving, via the communication interface, data indicating a first modification to a first allocation of investments generated by a first computing device and a second modification to a second allocation of investments generated by a second computing device:
- instantiate a first sleeve object and a second sleeve object for the first and second allocations of the investments at the centralized computing system;
- update, based on the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device, a first investment strategy stored in the memory device;
- update, based on the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device a second investment strategy stored in the memory device;
- identify, an account object stored in the memory device, associated with a client having funds allocated amongst the first investment strategy and the second investment strategy, and comprising the first sleeve object for the first investment strategy and the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy;
- modify a first plurality of component objects in the first sleeve object for the first investment strategy representing a first set of asset units in accordance with the first modification to the first allocation of investments generated by the first computing device;
- modify a second plurality of component objects in the second sleeve object for the second investment strategy representing a second set of asset units in accordance with the second modification to the second allocation of investments generated by the second computing device;
- and
- segregate asset units based on corresponding investment strategies via the first and second object sleeves.
