System and method for optimizing the presentation and delivery of content

A method comprising:

• dividing a geographical area into a virtual grid comprising a plurality of cells, a first cell of the plurality of cells overlapping in corresponding geographical area to a second cell of the plurality of cells;
• receiving content to output within one or more of the plurality of cells;
• determining a priority score associated with the content and each of the plurality of cells;
• determining a relevancy of the content to each cell of the plurality of cells;
• assigning content to the plurality of cells based at least in part on the relevancy of each cell of the plurality of cells and the priority score of each of the plurality of cells;
• responsive to receiving a request to output content to information playback devices within a selected set of the cells, the selected set of cells defining a content area;
• outputting content to an information playback device that is located within a respective one of the selected set of the cells;
• identifying one or more underperforming cells within the selected set of cells based at least in part on location data associated with the information playback device;
• and
• adjusting, in response to identifying the one or more underperforming cells, the one or more underperforming cells within the selected set of cells without changing the size and shape of the content area.
