Abstract
Practical assays to identify compounds that overcome the resistance of M. tuberculosis to bedaquiline are based on transcription factors Rv0324 and Rv0880 shown to mediate this resistance.

A method to identify a compound that potentiates the treatment of tuberculosis (TB) by bedaquiline (BDQ) which method comprises assessing the ability of a test compound to diminish the activity of transcription factor Rv0880 or transcription factor Rv0324 wherein a compound that diminishes the activity of one or both of said transcription factors is identified as a compound that potentiates the treatment of tuberculosis with BDQ.
