Abstract

A vehicle seat having a seat back and seat cushion connected thereto, the seat back and seat cushion being retractable to a retraction floor disposed lower than a vehicle body floor, is described. The vehicle seat includes: a support base connected to the body floor, disposed below the seat cushion, and pivotally connected to a lower end of the seat back; a detachable leg having an upper end attached to the seat cushion and a lower end connectable to the support base; a leg retaining member attached to the support base and configured to detachably retain the lower end of the detachable leg; and a base cover that covers the support base. The leg retaining member is disposed at a rear side of a front end of a portion of the base cover in a front to back direction that is configured to cover the support base from above.

Dependent claims

A vehicle seat, comprising:

a seat back and a seat cushion connected to the seat, the seat back and the seat cushion being retractable to a retraction floor of a vehicle body floor;
a support base connected to the vehicle body floor, disposed below the seat cushion, and pivotally connected to a lower end of the seat back so that the lower end of the seat back is pivotable;
and
a base cover that covers the support base from above the support base, wherein:
the vehicle seat is configured to be switched between a seatable state and a retracted state:
the base cover comprises a contact portion that contacts the seat cushion when the vehicle seat moves from the seatable state to the retracted state;
and
the contact portion of the base cover is separated from the seat cushion when the vehicle seat is in the retracted state.

a seat back and a seat cushion connected to the seat, the seat back and the seat cushion being retractable to a retraction floor of a vehicle body floor;
a support base connected to the vehicle body floor, disposed below the seat cushion, and pivotally connected to a lower end of the seat back so that the lower end of the seat back is pivotable;
