## Abstract

Methods, systems, and products control external devices during presentation of multimedia content. When a description of the multimedia content is received, the description may include control data for controlling a device. The control data may thus be executed to alter a presentation of the multimedia content.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method, comprising:
receiving, by a server, a request to stream an electronic content to a device;
retrieving, by the server, an electronic description of the electronic content;
retrieving, by the server, a textual control data for controlling a presentation of the electronic content;
adding, by the server, the textual control data to a data field in the electronic description; and
sending, by the server, the electronic description of the electronic content via the Internet to the device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising incorporating the textual control data into the electronic content.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising adding the textual control data to the electronic content.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising streaming the electronic content via the Internet to the device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising muting the electronic content.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising censoring the electronic content.

### Claim 7

A system, comprising:
a hardware processor; and
a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
receiving a request to stream an electronic content to a device;
retrieving an electronic description of the electronic content;
retrieving a textual control data associated with the electronic content, the textual control data for controlling a presentation of the electronic content;
adding the textual control data to a data field containing the electronic description; and
sending the electronic description and the textual control data via the Internet to the device.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise incorporating the textual control data into the electronic content.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise adding the textual control data to the electronic content.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise muting the electronic content.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise adding the textual control data to a data field in the electronic description.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise censoring the electronic content.

### Claim 13

A memory device storing code that when executed causes a hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
receiving a request to stream electronic content to a device;
retrieving a data field containing an electronic description of the electronic content;
retrieving a textual control data associated with the electronic content, the textual control data for controlling a presentation of the electronic content;
