Abstract
A system for autonomous ocean data collection includes at least one sensor capable of collecting sensor data, at least one transmission device, and at least one computing device comprising one or more hardware processors and memory coupled to the one or more hardware processors, the memory storing one or more instructions which, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the at least one computing device to generate data for transmission based on the sensor data collected by the at least one sensor, and cause the at least one transmission device to transmit the data.
Claims10
A system for autonomous ocean data collection comprising;
- a primary hull;
- a keel coupled with the primary hull at a first end of the keel, the keel comprising ballast sufficient to provide a positive righting moment sufficient to cause the primary hull to passively right from a capsized position when the system is deployed in water;
- a payload bay disposed on the primary hull configured to receive a payload unit;
- a payload unit positioned at least partially in the payload bay, the payload unit comprising at least one sensor capable of collecting sensor data;
- at least one outlet disposed on the payload bay, the at least one outlet allowing the at least one sensor of the payload unit to access at least one of air and water;
- at least one transmission device;
- at least one computing device comprising one or more hardware processors and memory coupled to the one or more hardware processors, the memory storing one or more instructions which, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the at least one computing device to:
- generate data for transmission based on the sensor data collected by the at least one sensor, and
- cause the at least one transmission device to transmit the data.
