## Abstract

Provided is a canola variety designated 45H37 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof produced from a cross of inbred varieties. Methods for producing a canola variety comprise crossing canola variety 45H37 with another canola plant. Methods for producing a canola plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into 45H37 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the canola seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Canola variety 45H37, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, plant parts and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of canola variety 45H37 are disclosed.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A plant of canola variety 45H37, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-124075.

### Claim 2

A treated seed of the canola variety of 45H37, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-124075, the seed comprising a seed treatment on the surface of the seed.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

A method for producing the seed of claim 2, the method comprising applying the seed treatment on the surface of the seed of the canola variety 45H37.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The seed of claim 2, wherein the seed treatment comprises a fungicide, insecticide or combination thereof.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

A plant part of the canola plant of claim 1, wherein the plant part comprises at least one cell of the canola variety 45H37.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

A method comprising cleaning seed harvested from the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

A method for producing canola oil, the method comprising processing seed harvested from the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A method of producing a canola seed, the method comprising growing the plant of claim 1 to produce a subsequent generation of seed; and harvesting the subsequent generation of seed.

### Claim 9 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3 further comprising cleaning the seed prior to applying the seed treatment.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

A method for producing a second canola plant or plant part, the method comprising doubling haploid seed generated from the plant of claim 1, thereby producing the second canola plant or plant part.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

A method of producing a plant further comprising a trait, the method comprising introducing a gene conferring the trait into the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the trait is selected from the group consisting of male sterility, a site for site-specific recombination, abiotic stress tolerance, altered phosphate, altered antioxidants, altered fatty acids, altered essential amino acids, altered carbohydrates, herbicide resistance, insect resistance and disease resistance.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

A method for producing a second canola plant or plant part, the method comprising applying plant breeding techniques to the plant or plant part of claim 1, thereby producing the second canola plant.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

A method for producing a canola plant derived from canola variety 45H37, the method comprising:
(a) crossing the plant of claim 1 with itself or a second plant to produce progeny seed; and
(b) growing the progeny seed to produce a plant derived from canola variety 45H37.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

A method for producing a second canola plant or plant part, the method comprising doubling haploid seed generated from the plant of claim 1, thereby producing the second canola plant or plant part.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

An F1 seed generated by the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 17 (depends on 2)

A plant grown from the seed of claim 2.

### Claim 18

A method for producing nucleic acids, the method comprising isolating nucleic acids from seed of canola variety 45H37, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-124075.

### Claim 19 (depends on 1)

A method for producing nucleic acids, the method comprising isolating nucleic acids from the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 20 (depends on 16)

A method for producing oil or meal, the method comprising processing the F1 seed of claim 16.
