Clean status indicator

A device having a clean status indicator system comprising:

• the device, wherein the device comprises a frame with a base, a plurality of feet secured to the base, a washing compartment within the frame, a door adjacent the washing compartment, and at least one rack positioned within the washing compartment;
• at least one weight sensor secured to at least one of the plurality of feet;
• at least one temperature sensor in operative communication with the device;
• a housing in operative communication with a visual display, wherein the housing is adjacent the washing compartment;
• a controller having a control logic in operative communication with a power supply, the at least one weight sensor, the at least one temperature sensor, and the visual display, wherein the controller is constructed and arranged to receive data from the at least one weight sensor and the at least one temperature sensor and analyze the data from the at least one weight sensor and the at least one temperature sensor;
• and
• at least one first slide component having at least one slot defined therein, and at least one second slide component disposed within the at least one slot configured to move in relation to the at least one first slide component along at least a first axis extending along a length of the at least one slot, a second axis extending along a width of the at least one slot, and a third axis extending perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis, wherein at least one of the at least one first slide component and the at least one second slide component is secured adjacent to a surface of the device and a rigid support structure immediately adjacent the device, and wherein a length of the slot is perpendicular to a top edge of the device, and wherein at least one of the at least one first slide component and the at least one second slide component allow for movement of the device along the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis.

A method for monitoring a clean/dirty status of a device comprising:

• securing the device to a rigid support structure immediately adjacent to a surface of the device using at least one first slide component having at least one slot defined therein and at least one second slide component disposed within the at least one slot, positioning the at least one first slide component so that a length of the at least one slot is perpendicular to a front edge of the device, and wherein the first slide component and the second slide component allow for movement of the device along a first axis extending along the length of the at least one slot, a second axis extending along a width of the at least one slot, and a third axis perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis;
• securing at least one weight sensor to the device;
• providing at least one temperature sensor in operative communication
• with the device;
• providing a housing having a visual display, wherein
• the housing is adjacent a washing compartment of the device;
• providing a controller having a control logic in operative communication with a power supply, the at least one weight sensor, the at least one temperature sensor, and the visual display;
• and
• monitoring at least one condition of the device using the at least one weight sensor and the at least one temperature sensor and sending data of the at least one condition to a status logic in the controller and using the control logic to evaluate whether one or more contents within the washing compartment of the device are clean or dirty, and displaying a status of the device on the visual display.
