Abstract
An emissive material includes a source of alumina in an amount between about 20 and about 30 weight % (wt. %), B4C in an amount between about 10 and about 20 wt. %, and SiC in an amount between about 55 and about 65 wt. %.
Claims20
An emissive material, consisting essentially of:
- a source of alumina in an amount between about 20 and about 30 weight % (wt. %);
- B4C in an amount between about 10 and about 20 wt. %;
- and
- SiC in an amount between about 55 and about 65 wt. %.
1 more element
An emissive material, comprising:
- a source of alumina in an amount between about 20 and about 30 weight % (wt. %);
- B4C in an amount between about 10 and about 20 wt. %;
- and
- SiC in an amount between about 55 and about 65 wt. %;
- wherein the emissive material is a slip cast ceramic compound.
2 more elements
A method of making an emissive material, the method comprising:
- mixing between about 20 and about 30 wt. % of an alumina source, between about 10 and about 20 of B4C, between about 55 and about 65 wt. % SiC, and a surfactant in an aqueous solution to form a mixture;
- and
- slip casting the mixture.
