Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of the compound ciclopirox or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof for the treatment and/or prevention of congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP).

A method for the treatment and/or prevention of congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP) in a subject, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of ciclopirox, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, to said subject.
A method for the treatment and/or prevention of congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP) in a subject, comprising administering to said subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising (i) a therapeutically effective amount of ciclopirox, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, and (ii) a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
