A novel maize variety designated X13M668 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X13M668 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X13M668 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X13M668, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X13M668 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X13M668 and methods of using maize variety X13M668 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13M668, the seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2S5H with a second plant of variety PH2DNR, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2S5H and PH2DNR have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124787 and PTA-124159, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13M668 further comprising a transgene, the seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2S5H with a second plant of variety PH2DNR, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2S5H and PH2DNR have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124787 and PTA-124159, respectively, and wherein the transgene has been introduced into at least one of variety PH2S5H and variety PH2DNR.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13M668 further comprising a locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2S5H with a second plant of variety PH2DNR, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2S5H and PH2DNR have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124787 and PTA-124159, respectively and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise all the physiological and morphological characteristics as maize variety X13M668 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
