Abstract
The present disclosure relates to novel organic friction modifiers for use in non-aqueous lubricant compositions, the organic friction modifiers comprising a product formed from the reaction of polyisobutylene succinic anhydride and a hydrophilic polyetheramine.
Claims16
An organic friction modifier comprising a product formed from the reaction of polyisobutylene succinic anhydride and a hydrophilic polyetheramine at a molar ratio of polyisobutylene succinic anhydride to amino groups in the hydrophilic polyetheramine ranging from about 1:1 to about 6:1 and wherein the product is a friction reducing product.
