Abstract
A process for the synthesis of quinazolinone containing compounds which may be useful for the treatment of cancer, is hereby disclosed. In addition, compound intermediates relating to these processes are also disclosed.

A process for synthesizing a compound of formula (II):
- or a salt thereof, comprising combining a compound of formula (14):
- or a salt thereof, and one or more reagents to remove the amino protective group tetrahydropyranyl (THP) from the compound of formula (14), wherein the one or more reagents comprise an acid, and wherein the compound of formula (14), or a salt thereof, and the one or more reagents are combined under conditions having less than 0.5% water present.
