Abstract
A method of lining an inner surface of a tubular with a polymer, includes positioning a polymer injecting head within the tubular, forming an annular space between the injecting head and an inner surface of the tubular, injecting polymer through the injecting head into the annular space, and moving the polymer injecting head longitudinally relative to the tubular while injecting polymer.
Claims21
A method of lining an inner surface of a tubular with a polymer, comprising:
- positioning a polymer injecting head within the tubular;
- forming an annular space defined by an outer surface of the injecting head and an inner surface of the tubular;
- injecting polymer through the injecting head into the annular space so that the polymer has an outer surface defined by the inner surface of the tubular and an inner surface contoured to have a profile defined by the outer surface of the injecting head;
- and
- moving the polymer injecting head longitudinally relative to the tubular while injecting polymer;
- further comprising solidifying portions of the polymer before the polymer injecting head is moved out of contact with the solidified portions of the polymer.
