Abstract
A device comprises a detector configured to detect an event, and a selector coupled to the detector and configured to generate a signal in response to a detection of an event by the detector. The signal is operable to select a set of input/output (I/O) parameters from among first and second stored sets of parameters. The device also includes a configuration module coupled to the selector. The configuration module is configured to output the selected set of I/O parameters.
Claims25
A device comprising:
- one or more input/output (I/O) lines connected to one or more external devices, the one or more I/O lines including a first I/O line and a second I/O line;
- a detector circuit configured to detect an event;
- a selector circuit coupled to the detector circuit and configured to:
- receive, from the detector circuit, an indication of a detection of the event, and
- generate a signal in response to receiving the indication from the detector circuit, the signal operable to select a set of I/O parameters from among a first set of parameters and a second set of parameters, wherein the first set of parameters includes first configuration parameters associated with a first mode of operation of the one or more I/O lines and the second set of parameters includes second configuration parameters associated with a second mode of operation of the one or more I/O lines;
- and
- a line management circuit coupled to the first I/O line and configured to adapt an operation of the first I/O line in accordance with the selected set of I/O parameters,
- wherein, in response to receiving the indication of the detection of the event by the selector circuit:
- the signal is operable to select the second set of parameters, causing the line management circuit to adapt the operation of the first I/O line in accordance with the second mode of operation, and
- the second I/O line is configured to operate in the first mode of operation.

A method comprising:
- detecting, by a detector circuit, an event;
- receiving, at a selector circuit coupled to the detector circuit, an indication of the detection of the event;
- in response to receiving the indication, generating, by the selector circuit, a signal that is operable to select a set of input/output (I/O) parameters from among a first set of parameters and a second set of parameters, wherein the first set of parameters includes first configuration parameters associated with a first mode of operation of one or more I/O lines and the second set of parameters includes second configuration parameters associated with a second mode of operation of the one or more I/O lines;
- and
- adapting, by a line management circuit coupled to a first I/O line of the one or more I/O lines, an operation of the first I/O line in accordance with the selected set of I/O parameters,
- wherein, in response to receiving the indication by the selector circuit:
- the signal selects the second set of parameters, causing the line management circuit to adapt the operation of the first I/O line in accordance with the second mode of operation, and
- a second I/O line of the one or more I/O lines operates in the first mode of operation.

- and
- a line management circuit coupled to a first I/O line of the one or more I/O lines and configured to adapt an operation of the first I/O line in accordance with the selected set of I/O parameters,
- wherein the first mode of operation includes allowing the first I/O line to communicate with the one or more external devices, and the second mode of operation includes preventing the first I/O line from communicating with the one or more external devices.
