Abstract
A display device includes a display panel configured to be bent or unbent, a first sensor disposed on a first surface of the display panel and configured to sense a bending direction and a deformation rate of the display device, and a second sensor disposed on a second surface of the display panel and configured to sense the bending direction and the deformation rate of the display device.
Claims18
A display device, comprising:
- a display panel configured to be bent or unbent;
- a first sensor disposed on a first surface of the display panel and configured to sense a bending direction and a deformation rate of the display device;
- and
- a second sensor disposed on a second surface of the display panel and configured to sense the bending direction and the deformation rate of the display device,
- wherein, in a bending area of the display device, when a compressive stress is applied to the second sensor and a tensile stress is applied to the first sensor, the bending direction is determined as a first direction, and
- wherein when a tensile stress is applied to the second sensor and a compressive stress is applied to the first sensor, the bending direction is determined as a second direction which is an opposite direction of the first direction.
