Abstract
Embodiments of golf clubs, golf club heads, and methods of manufacture are described herein. In one embodiment, a golf club head includes a strike face having one or more grooves with edges, where one or more of the edges is unsmooth. Other embodiments are also described herein.

A golf club head comprising:
- a club head body;
- a strike face;
- and
- one or more grooves on the strike face;
- wherein
- the one or more grooves have edges;
- at least one edge of the one or more grooves is unsmooth;
- at least one edge comprises peaks and valleys;
- and
- the valleys extend into a surface of the at least one edge.

- a club head body;
- a strike face;
- and
- one or more grooves on the strike face, each comprising a symmetrical cross-section with two sidewalls;
- wherein:
- the one or more grooves have edges;
- at least one edge of the one or more grooves is unsmooth;
- at least one edge comprises peaks and valleys;
- the valleys extend into a surface of the at least one edge;
- and
- the peaks and valleys are located at the edges and are absent from the sidewalls.
