Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel method of treatment of acne in a human patient in need thereof, comprising administering topically to said patient an effective amount of the compound 3,5-Dihydroxy-4-isopropyl-trans-stilbene (Compound 1) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method of treating acne in a human in need thereof comprising topically administering to said human an effective amount of a compound which is 3,5-Dihydroxy-4-isopropyl-trans-stilbene, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of treating acne in a human in need thereof comprising topically administering to said human an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising 3,5-Dihydroxy-4-isopropyl-trans-stilbene, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
