## Abstract

Methods and apparatuses for random access transmission. A method implemented in a terminal device in a wireless communication system. According to the method, a random access request including a training sequence is generated. The training sequence is configured at least partially based on a requirement of a coverage gain for a predetermined coverage class five (CC5) of the terminal device. The random access request is transmitted to a network device on a random access channel.
