## Abstract

Systems and methods to aid a welder or welding student. A system may provide a real-world arc welding system or a virtual reality arc welding system along with a computerized eyewear device having a head-up display (HUD). The computerized eyewear device may be worn by a user under a conventional welding helmet as eye glasses are worn and may wirelessly communicate with a welding power source of a real-world arc welding system or a programmable processor-based subsystem of a virtual reality arc welding system.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A computerized eyewear device, comprising:
a frame that is configured to be worn by a user;
an optical lens attached to the frame;

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 5, wherein the image or the portion of video is at least one of the weld, the workpiece, or a process step of creating the weld on the workpiece.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 1, wherein the computerized eyewear device is configured to be worn by a user as eyeglasses.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 1, the frame further comprising a bridge, wherein the frame includes a bridge that is configured to be supported on a nose.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 8, the frame further comprises a first brow portion coupled to and extending away from the bridge to a first end and a second brow portion coupled to and extending away from the bridge to a second end.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 9, wherein the first end is opposite the second end, the first end is configured to be positioned over a first portion of a brow of the user, and the second end is configured to be positioned over a second portion of a brow of the user.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The computerized eyewear device of claim 10, further comprising:
a first arm having a first end and a free end opposite thereto, the first end of the first arm is coupled to the first end of first brow portion; and
