Claims29
A nutritional composition comprising a human milk oligosaccharide selected from the group consisting of 6′-sialyllactose, 3′-sialyllactose, 2′-fucosyllactose, 3-fucosyllactose, lacto-N-tetraose, lacto-N-neotetraose, lacto-N-fucopentaose, and combinations thereof, from 0.001 μg/mL to 5 μg/mL of a carotenoid, and from 5 mg per 100 kcals to 23 mg per 100 kcals of total long chain omega-3 fatty acids,
- wherein the nutritional composition is shelf stable for at least 3 months.
A nutritional composition comprising a human milk oligosaccharide selected from the group consisting of 6′-sialyllactose, 3′-sialyllactose, 2′-fucosyllactose, 3-fucosyllactose, lacto-N-tetraose, lacto-N-neotetraose, lacto-N-fucopentaose, and combinations thereof, from 0.001 μg/mL to 5 μg/mL of a carotenoid, from 5 mg per 100 kcals to 23 mg per 100 kcals of total long chain omega-3 fatty acids, and fat, wherein total long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid content is less than 3% by weight of the total fat,
- wherein the nutritional composition is shelf stable for at least 3 months.
A concentrated nutritional liquid comprising a human milk oligosaccharide selected from the group consisting of 6′-sialyllactose, 3′-sialyllactose, 2′-fucosyllactose, 3-fucosyllactose, lacto-N-tetraose, lacto-N-neotetraose, lacto-N-fucopentaose, and combinations thereof, from 0.001 μg/mL to 5 μg/mL of a carotenoid, and 5 mg per 100 kcals to 23 mg per 100 kcals of total long chain omega-3 fatty acids,
- wherein the nutritional composition is shelf stable for at least 3 months.
A method of reducing inflammation in an infant, toddler, or child in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the infant, toddler, or child a nutritional composition comprising a human milk oligosaccharide selected from the group consisting of 6′-sialyllactose, 3′-sialyllactose, 2′-fucosyllactose, 3-fucosyllactose, lacto-N-tetraose, lacto-N-neotetraose, lacto-N-fucopentaose, and combinations thereof, from 0.001 μg/mL to 5 μg/mL of a carotenoid, and from 5 mg per 100 kcals to 23 mg per 100 kcals of total long chain omega-3 fatty acids.
