Culinary mixer and methods of use

A culinary mixer comprising:

• a container having a closed bottom, inner side, an outside surface and an open top, the open top and closed bottom defining a container height;
• a lid having a top surface, sides and a bottom surface, the lid configured to be connected to the open top of the container to form a fluid-tight seal and enclose a volume defined by the bottom surface of the lid, the inner sides and closed bottom of the container;
• and
• a mixer having a base configured to be positioned adjacent the bottom surface of the lid and sized to fit within the volume, the mixer comprising a plurality of mixing fingers having a first end and a second end, the first end connected to the base and at least some of the fingers having a second end not connected to the base, the plurality of mixing fingers are configured so that no finger contacts another finger forming an intersection.

A method of mixing comprising:

• placing ingredients to be mixed within a container having a closed bottom, sides and an open top, the open top and closed bottom defining a container height;
• positioning a mixer within the container, the mixer comprising a base with a plurality of mixing fingers extending there from, each of the fingers has a first end and a second end, the first end of each of the fingers connected to the base and at least some of the second ends are connected to the base so that the fingers form a loop, the mixing fingers extending greater than or equal to about 50% of the height of the container;
• connecting a lid to the open top of the container to form a sealed container;
• and
• shaking the sealed container a number of times to mix the ingredients.
