Abstract
An injectable, flowable composition, kits that include the same, and methods of medical treatment of a mammal (e.g., human) that include the administration of the same are provided.
Claims9
A composition comprising:
- (a) microparticles comprising a synthetic glucocorticoid steroid and at least one polymer, wherein the microparticles have a d90 of less than about 5 μm, the at least one polymer comprises a block copolymer comprising a poly-lactide-co-glycolide (PLGA) block and a polyethylene glycol (PEG) block, and the synthetic glucocorticoid steroid is present in a weight of up to about 40% the weight of the total polymer;
- and
- (b) a carrier vehicle;
- wherein the microparticles are substantially miscible to dispersible in the carrier vehicle.
