Abstract
An apparatus comprising a watermark decoder arranged for decoding a watermark signal from a transmission video signal, the watermark signal defining a content area within the transmission video signal for inserting new content within the transmission video signal.
Claims29
An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor configured to
- receive a transmission video signal depicting a scene that includes a display that displays a content video signal and a watermark signal overlayed on the content video signal;
- extract the watermark signal from a plurality of frames of the transmission video signal the watermark signal defining a boundary of a content area within each frame of the plurality of frames of the transmission video signal for inserting new content;
- and
- insert the new content in the area within the content area of each frame of the plurality of frames of the transmission video signal.

An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor configured to
- encode a watermark signal into a plurality of frames of a content video signal so that the watermark signal overlays the content video signal, the watermark signal defining a boundary of a content area within each frame of the plurality of frames of the content video signal for inserting new content into a transmission video signal depicting a scene that includes a display that displays the content video signal, and
- transmit the content video signal.
A method comprising:
- receiving a transmission video signal depicting a scene that includes a display that displays a content video signal and a watermark signal overlayed on the content video signal;
- extracting the watermark signal from a plurality of frames of the transmission video signal the watermark signal defining a boundary of a content area within each frame of the plurality of frames of the transmission video signal for inserting new content;
- and
- inserting the new content in the area within the content area of each frame of the plurality of frames of the transmission video signal.
