Abstract
A vortex generator for a wind turbine blade to be mounted to a wind turbine blade includes: a platform portion to be mounted to a surface of the wind turbine blade; and at least one fin disposed upright on the platform portion. The platform portion has a cross section having a curved convex shape, at least along a blade spanwise direction of the wind turbine blade.
Claims14
A vortex generator for a wind turbine blade to be mounted to the wind turbine blade, comprising:
- a platform portion to be mounted to a surface of the wind turbine blade;
- and at least one fin disposed upright on the platform portion, wherein the platform portion has a cross section having a curved convex shape defined by an outer surface of a profile (a) or (b), at least along a blade spanwise direction of the wind turbine blades wherein the profile (a) is formed by an arc having a single curvature radius (b) is formed by a combination of a straight portion and at least one curved portion, a summed length Larc of the at least one curved portion along a blade spanwise direction and a total length Ltotal of the platform portion along the blade spanwise direction satisfying a relationship Larc≥0.2Ltotal.
