Claims20
A telecommunications cable comprising:
- a plurality of conductors, the plurality of conductors comprising at least one twisted pair of conductors that comprises a sheath;
- and
- a fibrillated polymeric yarn comprising a plurality of filaments, the fibrillated polymeric yarn being configured to spatially separate at least two conductors from the plurality of conductors and to be conformable to the sheath of the at least one twisted pair of conductors;
- wherein the polymeric yarn is configured to exhibit a linear mass density in a range of about 1750 to about 22,000 denier and the plurality of filaments comprise any of polytetrafluoroethylene-perfluoromethylvinylether (MFA), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), and perfluoroalkoxy (PFA).
