Golf clubs with adjustable loft and lie and methods of manufacturing golf clubs with adjustable loft and lie

A method of manufacturing a golf club head comprising:

• forming a body portion having a face portion and a lower hosel portion, the lower hosel portion of the body portion having an end portion with a projection;
• forming an upper hosel portion configured to couple to a shaft, the upper hosel portion comprising an insert receptacle having a projection;
• and
• forming an adjustment portion configured to couple the upper hosel portion and the body portion, the adjustment portion being separate from the upper hosel portion and the body portion being rotatable relative to the upper hosel portion and the body portion at a plurality of positions, each of the plurality of positions corresponding to a different one of a loft angle or a lie angle of the face portion,
• wherein the adjustment portion comprises:
• an insert having:
• an outer side having a plurality of radially spaced arms that extend outwardly from the outer side of the insert and a plurality of gaps located between the plurality of arms, wherein the projection of the lower hosel portion is configured to be received by the outer side of the insert;
• an inner side opposite the outer side, the inner side comprising an indentation configured to receive the projection of the insert receptacle on the upper hosel portion;
• wherein:
• a fastener is inserted through the end portion of the lower hosel portion, through a hole in the insert, and through a hole in the insert receptacle of the upper hosel portion to secure the upper hosel portion, the insert, and the lower hosel portion together.
