Compositions of jasmonate compounds and methods of use

A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable solvent and a plurality of nanocarriers or microcarriers that contain a jasmonate compound, wherein

• the nanocarriers or microcarriers are formed of an α, β, or γ cyclodextrin;
• the nanocarriers have a size ranging from 1 nanometer (nm) to 900 nm;
• or
• the microcarriers have a size ranging from 1 micron to 50 micron;
• and
• the pharmaceutical composition has a concentration of the jasmonate compound ranging from 1 nM to 1 M.
