Abstract
This invention relates generally to compositions and methods for treatment of pancreatic cancer. The present invention relates more particularly to use of JNK inhibition together with administration of TRAIL to selectively suppress cancer stem cells.
Claims9
A method of treating pancreatic cancer in a patient comprising administration of a low-dose of a c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) inhibitor of 1 mg/kg or less in combination with a low-dose of a TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (“TRAIL”) of 1 mg/kg or less.
A method of selectively inhibiting viability of a pancreatic cancer stem cell population in a cancer patient comprising administration of a low-dose of a c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) inhibitor of 1 mg/kg or less in combination with a low-dose of a TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (“TRAIL”) of 1 mg/kg or less.
A method of treating pancreatic cancer in a patient comprising systemic administration of a low-dose of a c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) inhibitor of 1 mg/kg or less orally in combination with localized administration of a dose of 1 mg/kg or less of a TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (“TRAIL”) in an organ or region of the patient where a tumor is present.
