Abstract
A system includes an electronic fuel injection system of an engine, the electronic fuel injection system including an electronic governor control unit for controlling various functions of the engine.
Claims12
A system for tracking health of an air cleaner of an engine, the system comprising:
- a throttle;
- a throttle position sensor configured to determine a position of the throttle, wherein the throttle position sensor is configured to generate a throttle position signal based on the position of the throttle;
- an air manifold through which air passes in route to the engine;
- an air pressure sensor configured to sense an air pressure in the manifold, wherein the air pressure sensor is configured to generate an air pressure signal based on the air pressure in the manifold;
- an air cleaner through which air passes in route to the engine;
- an electronic governor control unit in communication with the throttle position sensor and the air pressure sensor, wherein the electronic governor control unit is configured to receive the throttle position signal and the air pressure signal, and wherein the electronic governor control unit is configured to determine a threshold based on the throttle position signal and the air pressure signal;
- wherein the air pressure sensor is configured to sense air pressure in the manifold after the threshold has been determined and is configured to generate a second air pressure signal, and wherein the electronic governor control unit is configured to receive the second air pressure signal and is configured to compare the second air pressure signal to the threshold;
- and
- wherein the electronic governor control unit is further configured to send a warning signal when the threshold has been exceeded.
