## Abstract

Latency may be decreased by the use of predictive algorithms to enable users to automatically pre-stream and download certain content. A user using a streaming media application may download a set of videos from a remote server. An individual may finish a first episode of a streaming video series and may start a second episode. A remote server may understand the behavior of this user or behavior of users similar to the user via collaborative filtering to predict the content that the user would seek. As a result, the server may send to the device streams of data that the user is likely to engage. These streams may encompass just the first 30 seconds or minutes of the content or more content.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system comprising:
a network device enabled to communicate to a server; wherein the network device is enabled to communicate on at least one wireless frequency; wherein the network device is enabled for Internet Protocol communication;
wherein the network device is configured to receive, from the server, a stream of a first content comprising of video data;
wherein the server is enabled to predict a second content to be used by the network device and send to the network device a limited portion of the second content prior to a user request of the second content;
wherein the time to make available by the network device the second content to the user is decreased by automatically downloading a portion of the second content prior to the user request of the second content; and
wherein the server uses collaborative filtering to predict the second content that the user of the network device is likely to request.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the mobile device is enabled to simultaneously stream content from the server and send the content to the network device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the network device is enabled to predict a behavior of the user to cache data including the limited portion of the second content.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The system of claim 3, wherein the first content is a first episode of video content and wherein the second content is a second episode of video content; and wherein the network device is enabled to start the second episode of video of the second content upon completion of the first episode.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the mobile devices reports to a carrier server the sequence or frame of a video sequence and wherein the server sends to a local TV the video or frame sequence; and
wherein the TV buffers content before and after the video frame sequence.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, further comprising a controller application configured for use on a server application stored in non transitory computer readable medium configured to be executed by a processor on the server.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the network device is enabled with a wired connection port to connect the network device to a television for display of the first content and the second content.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the first content is comprises of a 4K and/or HD video stream.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein a user is enabled to start a first video stream on a mobile device; wherein the mobile device is enabled to initiate a connection to a television directly to provide an initial video frames, and further provide an identification of a last place of the first video stream to the server.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the network device is enabled to communicate simultaneously with a plurality of access points to receive a plurality of content from each access point and/or from each of a plurality of remote servers.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein an access point is enabled to reserve a priority level for traffic communication related to the stream of the first content.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the network device is enabled to enable pre-fetching of additional video content from a second server and/or access point to enable a redundancy in connectivity.
