## Abstract

An image pickup apparatus that prevents hooking of a cable, coming-off of a connector, or the like without lowering insertion and extraction performance of a cable even when external connection terminals are arranged on inclined faces formed on a side surface of an apparatus main body in its width direction while reducing a size of the apparatus main body in the width direction. The inclined faces inclines such that ends of the respective inclined faces on a back side of the apparatus main body are inclined in a direction to come close to the optical axis. The inclined faces are arranged at positions so as not to overlap to each other when viewed from the width direction of the apparatus main body, and are arranged such that a part of the inclined faces overlap to each other when viewed from a direction of the optical axis.

## Claims

wherein the plurality of inclined faces are arranged at positions so as not to overlap each other when viewed in the width direction,
wherein the plurality of inclined faces are arranged at positions such that at least a part of the plurality of inclined faces overlap each other when viewed in a direction of the optical axis,
wherein the first inclined face includes a plurality of external connection terminals, and
wherein the second inclined face includes an external connection terminal that is deviated, in a height direction that is perpendicular to the width direction and to the optical axis, from all external connection terminals of the first inclined face.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the second inclined face includes only one external connection terminal.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein inclined angles of the plurality of inclined faces with respect to the optical axis of the lens part are substantially the same.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein inclined angles of the plurality of inclined faces with respect to the optical axis of the lens part are the same.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a connection face connects the first end of one of the plurality of inclined surfaces to the second end of another of the plurality of inclined surfaces,
wherein the connection face makes a substantially 90° angle with the one of the plurality of inclined surfaces and with the another of the plurality of inclined surfaces,
wherein a length of the connection face is substantially equal to or longer than a length of a hard part of a cable to be connected to an external connection terminal, the hard part being formed at a distal end of the cable.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a connection face connects the first end of one of the plurality of inclined surfaces to the second end of another of the plurality of inclined surfaces,
wherein the connection face makes a 90° angle with the one of the plurality of inclined surfaces and with the another of the plurality of inclined surfaces,
wherein a length of the connection face is equal to or longer than a length of a hard part of a cable to be connected to an external connection terminal, the hard part being formed at a distal end of the cable.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein an inclined surface of the plurality of inclined surfaces includes an external connection terminal that does not protrude from an outermost outline part of the apparatus main body.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of external connection terminals of the first inclined face include two adjacent external connection terminals,
wherein one of the two adjacent external connection terminals of the first inclined face is disposed above, in the height direction, the external connection terminal of the second inclined face, and
wherein the other of the two adjacent external connection terminals of the first inclined face is disposed below, in the height direction, the external connection terminal of the second inclined face.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the lens part is detachably mountable to the front side of the apparatus main body.

### Claim 10

An imaging apparatus comprising:
