Abstract
The present specification discloses a mobile communication system. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving data using a plurality of carriers in a mobile communication system.
Claims12
A method by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising:
- performing a communication on at least one serving cell of a master cell group (MCG) associated with a first base station and at least one serving cell of a secondary cell group (SCG) associated with a second base station;
- determining whether a number of retransmissions of a radio link control (RLC) data for the SCG is equal to a maximum number of retransmissions;
- if the maximum number of retransmissions of the RLC data for the SCG is equal to the maximum number of retransmissions, releasing physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and sounding reference signal (SRS) for the at least one serving cell of the SCG;
- and
- transmitting, to the first base station, information regarding detected radio link failure for the SCG on the at least one serving cell of the MCG,
- wherein the information further includes a measurement result of each serving cell of the SCG.

A terminal in a communication system, the terminal comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- control the transceiver to perform a communication on at least one serving cell of a master cell group (MCG) associated with a first base station and at least one serving cell of a secondary cell group (SCG) associated with a second base station;
- determine whether a number of retransmissions of a radio link control (RLC) data for the SCG is equal to a maximum number of retransmissions;
- if the maximum number of retransmissions of the RLC data for the SCG is equal to the maximum number of retransmissions, release physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and sounding reference signal (SRS) for the at least one serving cell of the SCG;
- and
- control the transceiver to transmit, to the first base station, information regarding detected radio link failure for the SCG on the at least one serving cell of the MCG, wherein the information further includes a measurement result of each serving cell of the SCG.
