## Abstract

There are provided a subminiature optical system having a miniature size and capable of obtaining a narrow view angle using only five sheets of lenses, and a portable device having the same. The subminiature optical system includes a first lens convex toward the object side and having positive refractive power a second lens concave toward an image side and having negative refractive power, a third lens convex toward the object side and having positive refractive power, a fourth lens concave toward the image plane and having negative refractive power, and a fifth lens convex toward the image plane and having negative or positive refractive power, sequentially from an object side.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An optical system, comprising:
a first optical system; and
a second optical system having an angle of view narrower than that of the first optical system,
wherein the second optical system comprises a plurality of lenses sequentially disposed from an object side,
wherein lenses disposed toward the object side are defined as a first group, and lenses disposed toward an image side are defined as a second group, based on a greatest distance on an optical axis between the lenses,
wherein the first group has a total of three plastic lenses, including a first lens, a second lens, and a third lens;
wherein the second group has a total of two plastic lenses, including a fourth lens and a fifth lens;
wherein the fifth lens, disposed farthest from the object side among the lenses of the second group, has positive refractive power and at least one inflection point, and
wherein the second optical system satisfies the following conditional expression:
0.7<TTL/F<1.0,
where TTL is a distance on the optical axis between an object-side surface of the first lens, among the lenses, disposed closest to the object side and an image plane of an image sensor, and F is a focal length of the second optical system.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The optical system of claim 1, wherein the first lens has positive refractive power.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The optical system of claim 1, wherein the fourth lens has negative refractive power.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The optical system of claim 4, wherein the fourth and fifth lenses each have an aspherical surface.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The optical system of claim 1, wherein a view angle difference between the first optical system and the second optical system is greater than 25 degrees and less than 80 degrees.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The optical system of claim 1, wherein the second optical system has the view angle of 20 degrees through 35 degrees.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The optical system of claim 1, wherein the first optical system has the view angle of 60 degrees through 80 degrees.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)
