## Abstract

An apparatus that displays an athletic activity notification user interface having a first display level that stacks athletic activity notifications along a first axis, and a second display level that positions athletic activity notifications along a second axis, perpendicular to the first axis, and whereby navigating through the user interface transitions athletic activity notifications from the second display leveled first display level.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An apparatus comprising:
a processor;
a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to at least:
generate a user interface for display on a display device, the user interface comprising:
a UI display surface having a length extending between a first end and a second end along a first axis, and a width extending between a first side and a second side along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, the width of the UI display surface configured to be equal to a width of the display device along the second axis;
a first display level positioned between the first end and a transition point, and having a first plurality of display positions stacked along the first axis;
a second display level positioned between the transition point and the second end, and having a second plurality of display positions aligned along the second axis,
receive athletic activity notifications comprising at least a first athletic activity notification from a first device associated with a first user and a second athletic activity notification from a second device associated with a second user, where the athletic activity notifications comprise a proposed future scheduled time and location of a group athletic activity and are received in chronological order and wherein the first athletic activity notification includes a first preferred position and the second athletic activity notification includes a second preferred position,
determine the first athletic activity notification and the second athletic notification comprise the same proposed future scheduled time and location of the group athletic activity, and in response,
populating the first plurality of display positions with the first athletic activity notification and the second athletic activity notification received from the first user and the second user in chronological order, with the most recently-received athletic activity notification positioned at the first end, and
determining that the first plurality of display positions are all populated, and in response, individually populating the second plurality of display positions with athletic activity notifications received from the first user and second user in a chronological order, with the most recently received athletic activity notification populating the second plurality of display positions positioned at the first side, such that the athletic activity notifications populating the second plurality of display positions are configured to be displayed perpendicular to the athletic activity notifications populating the first plurality of display positions; and
receive a user input through the user interface in a direction along the first axis towards the second end, and in response, display older athletic activity notifications by transitioning one or more athletic activity notifications from the second display level to the first display level and removing one or more newer athletic activity notifications from the user interface.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the user interface further comprises a locked display element that does not change position when navigating through the user interface along the first axis, wherein the locked display element is configured to display a status of an athletic activity associated with, and common to, the first user and the second user.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the status comprises the scheduled time and location of an athletic activity of the first and second athletic activity notifications.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the locked display element is located at the second end of the user interface.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the second plurality of display positions are populated in chronological order, wherein a most recent notification within the second plurality of display positions is displayed within a leftmost display position.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first plurality of display positions extend across an entirety of the width of the user interface.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein an athletic activity notification, from the athletic activity notifications, comprises an invitation to participate in an athletic activity.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the non-transitory computer-readable medium further comprises computer-executable instructions that when executed by the processor are further configured to cause the processor to at least:
receive a user input through the user interface, in a direction along the first axis in a direction towards the second end causing the user interface to display a message input interface above the most recently-received athletic activity notification.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein an athletic activity notification, when transitioned from the first display level to the second display level, is truncated.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein a background of a display position is changed to correspond to a user, from the first user and the second user, from which an athletic activity notification is received.

### Claim 11

A computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to at least:
transmit an electronic invitation to a plurality of users, the invitation comprising an invite to participate in a scheduled athletic activity; and in response, generate a user interface configured to be both viewable and interacted with by each of the plurality of users, the user interface comprising:
a UI display surface having a length extending between a first end and a second end along a first axis of a horizontal plane, and a width extending between a first side and a second side along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, the width of the UI configured to be equal to a width of a display device along the second axis;
a first display level positioned between the first end and a transition point, and having a first plurality of display positions stacked along the first axis;
a second display level positioned between the transition point and the second end, and having a second plurality of display positions aligned along the second axis; and
a locked display element, located at the second end of the first axis, configured to be statically positioned when navigating through the user interface along the first axis, wherein the locked display element is configured to display a status of the athletic activity associated with the invitation;
receive a plurality of acceptances comprising at least a first acceptance from a first device associated with a first user and a second acceptance from a second device associated with a second user of the plurality of users in chronological order, where the first acceptance and the second acceptance comprise a selected future time and location data, and wherein the first acceptance includes a first preferred position and the second acceptance includes a second preferred position;
determine the first acceptance and the second acceptance comprise the same selected future time and location data, and in response,
populating the first plurality of display positions with the first acceptance and second acceptance, with the most recently-received acceptance positioned at the first end, and
receive at least one message from at least one of the first user, the second user, or a third user of the plurality of users that is not an acceptance of the invite, and in response,
determining that the first plurality of display positions are all populated, and in response, individually populating the second plurality of display positions with the at least one message in a chronological order, with the most recently received acceptance populating the second plurality of display positions positioned at the first side, such that the acceptances populating the second plurality of display positions are configured to be displayed perpendicular to the acceptances populating the first plurality of display positions; and
