Vehicle control apparatus

A vehicle control apparatus comprising:

• a clocking section which clocks time after an operation section is operated until a certain period of time elapses;
• a vehicle control section which starts a first control in a case where a vehicle is stopped within the certain period of time after the operation section is operated, the first control corresponding to a control executed in a case where the operation section is operated in a state where the vehicle is stopped;
• and
• a determination section which determines a presence or absence of intention to stop the vehicle of a driver, based on a traveling state of the vehicle or an operation performed by the driver of the vehicle,
• wherein the vehicle control section starts the first control in a case where the determination section determines that the driver has an intention to stop the vehicle and the vehicle is stopped within the certain period of time after the operation section is operated, and
• wherein the vehicle control section starts a second control which is a control different from the first control in a case where the determination section determines that the driver does not have the intention to stop the vehicle or the vehicle is not stopped within the certain period of time after the operation section is operated, and
• wherein the first control is a control for assisting garage entering parking of the vehicle, and
• the second control is a control for assisting parallel parking of the vehicle.
