Electrical circuit for a motor vehicle and method for establishing contact and/or terminating contact of a vehicle with a vehicle-external electrical network

A method for at least one of making or breaking contact of a vehicle with an external electrical network, the method comprising the following steps:

• providing at least one contact device for electrically connecting the vehicle to the external network;
• determining if a connection exists between the at least one contact device and the external network;
• prior to at least one of contact making or breaking, disconnecting an electrical connection between an in-vehicle electrical network and the at least one contact device;
• carrying out at least one of contact making or breaking when the at least one contact device and the in-vehicle electrical network are disconnected from one another;
• and
• calculating the contact breaking in advance based on a distance traveled by the vehicle since contact making.

A method for at least one of making or breaking contact of a vehicle with an external electrical network, the method comprising the following steps:

• providing at least one contact device for electrically connecting the vehicle to the external network;
• determining if a connection exists between the at least one contact device and the external network;
• prior to at least one of contact making or breaking, disconnecting an electrical connection between an in-vehicle electrical network and the at least one contact device;
• carrying out at least one of contact making or breaking when the at least one contact device and the in-vehicle electrical network are disconnected from one another;
• and
• comparing the determination of the at least one of contact making or breaking with known information about a route of the vehicle.
