Abstract
Provided is a pharmaceutical formulation and a method associated therewith for treating inflammation. The pharmaceutical formulation includes therapeutically effective amounts of sesquiterpenes such as β-caryophyllene and two flavonoids. The two flavonoids include baicalin and catechin.
Claims15
A unit dosage form comprising:
- a from 25 to 1000 mg of a sesquiterpene selected from β-caryophyllene, a positional isomer of β-caryophyllene, a stereoisomer of β-caryophyllene, or a congener of β-caryophyllene differing only in the extent of ethylenic unsaturation in the nine member or five member ring and;
- b from 100 to 1000 mg of at least one flavonoid selected from baicalin and catechin and combinations thereof.
