Abstract
The invention relates to solar control glazing comprising, on at least one of the surfaces of a glass substrate, a system of layers including at least one solar-radiation-absorbing layer and dielectric layers surrounding said solar-radiation-absorbing layer. According to the invention, the solar-radiation-absorbing layer is a metal layer based on tungsten alloyed with at least nickel. The layer system comprises: between the substrate and the metal layer, at least one layer of a dielectric material based on oxide, nitride or oxynitride of silicon or aluminum, or mixed aluminum/silicon nitrides; and, on top of the solar-radiation-absorbing layer, at least one layer of a dielectric material based on one of said compounds.

A solar-control glazing comprising on at least one of the faces of a glass substrate a layer system comprising:
- at least one solar radiation absorbing layer and dielectric layers surrounding said solar radiation absorbing layer,
- wherein the solar radiation absorbing layer is a metallic layer comprising tungsten alloyed with at least nickel and chromium, the solar radiation absorbing layer comprising at least 50% by weight of tungsten, no more than 25% by weight of chromium, and at least 25% by weight of nickel,
- between the substrate and the solar radiation absorbing layer, at least one layer comprising a dielectric material comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, mixed aluminum-silicon nitrides, silicon oxynitride and aluminum oxynitride, and,
- over the solar radiation absorbing layer, at least one layer comprising a dielectric material comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, mixed aluminum-silicon nitrides, silicon oxynitride and aluminum oxynitride,
- wherein a colorimetric variation in transmission, ΔE*TL, is less than 5 when the glazing is subjected to a temperature of at least 630° C. and of not more than 670° C. for 7 minutes,
- wherein a colorimetric variation in glass-side reflection, ΔE*Rg, is less than 5 when the glazing is subjected to a temperature of at least 630° C. and of not more than 670° C. for 7 minutes, and
- wherein a colorimetric variation in layer-side reflection, ΔE*Rl, is less than 5 when said glazing is subjected to a temperature of at least 630° C. and of not more than 670° C. for 7 minutes.
A solar-control glazing comprising on at least one of the faces of a glass substrate a layer system comprising the following sequence starting from the substrate:
- a first dielectric layer comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, mixed aluminum-silicon nitrides, silicon oxynitride and aluminum oxynitride, the first dielectric layer having an optical thickness of between 40 nm and 180 nm;
- a metallic solar radiation absorbing layer comprising tungsten alloyed with at least nickel and chromium, the solar radiation absorbing layer comprising at least 50% by weight of tungsten, no more than 25% by weight of chromium, and at least 25% by weight of nickel, the metallic solar radiation absorbing layer having a geometric thickness of between 3 nm and 25 nm;
